Socio-Environmental and Physical Factors of Flood Risk in African Cities: An Analysis of Vulnerabilities in Two Contrasting Neighbourhoods in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire

The literature on vulnerability to flooding highlights the multiple dimensions of risk factors. However, little research has analysed joint effects environmental and social variables flood at household level in African cities. We use an interdisciplinary approach analyse differentiated significance these for status ‘flood victim’ Abidjan, major city Côte d’Ivoire. data used were collected a survey 503 households residing two contrasting neighbourhoods Abidjan.
